Meet Peter Buxton

Peter obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia and he was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 1981.

He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2015.

He is a trial lawyer specializing in injury law.  He has completed training in Advanced Civil Mediation with The Continuing legal Education Society of B.C. and he regularly offers mediation services to his clients to assist in dispute resolution.

Peter has experience in personal injury, criminal, family, commercial and employment law.  He has conducted complex trials in the Supreme Court of British Columbia and tried cases before both criminal and civil juries.  Peter has also argued appeals before the British Columbia Court of Appeal and appeared in the Federal Court of Canada.

As well as assisting his own clients, Peter also acts as legal counsel in personal injury cases for busy lawyers who need an experienced trial lawyer to provide assistance with litigation, mediation and trials.

Aside from the law, Peter is a Past Director of Baseball Canada and a Past President of Baseball B.C.  He currently sits as a Commissioner on the Parks, Recreation and Culture Commission in Delta, B.C. and he is currently a member of the Delta Police Board.  He is an avid skier, kayaker and photographer.

Peter and his wife have three sons and currently live in Delta B.C.
